INVITATION TO REGISTER ON THE NATIONAL TREASURY’S CENTRAL SUPPLIER DATABASE

Suppliers who wish to render services will no longer directly register on the database of the Ingonyama Trust Board. In order to comply with section 76(4) of the Public Finance Management Act and to ensure a competitive process, the Ingonyama Trust Board encourages/invites service providers (Suitable individuals and firms) who wish to render services to the Ingonyama Trust Board to register on the National Treasury Database as per National Treasury instruction No. 4A 2016/2017 (Central Supplier Database).

National Treasury will maintain the database which is the single database to serve as the source of all suppliers’ information, for all spheres of Government. Effective from 1 July 2016, all spheres of government will be required to conduct business with only suppliers that are registered on the CSD database whenever it requires good and services from the market. The purpose of centralizing government’s supplier database is to reduce application of effort and costs for both suppliers and government while enabling electronic procurement processes. All prospective and current suppliers are therefore encouraged to register on the CSD as a matter of urgency. The registration process can be completed on line at www.secure.csd.gov.za

Suppliers experiencing difficulties in registering are encouraged to visit the National Treasury website on www.treasury.gov.za.
